Baptism & Communion (The Lord's Supper)
Mission
Statement: Deacons & ministerial staff assist the Pastor with preparing for and administering
the 2 ordinances in the church which are Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Vision Statement:
Baptism candidates usually are baptized the following Sunday in each month.
Candidates for Baptism are called the week before to remind them of Baptism, what to bring and what time to arrive.
There is registration for Baptism immediately following the conclusion of the Worship Service. The purpose is to make sure we have all information correct for Baptism Certificates. After registration, the candidates are taken to the New Members Room and informed to where they can change for Baptism.
Officers that are going in the water are asked to be present about 10:30 a.m. This gives them time to get dressed for the water and about 10:45, we bring the candidates together and an officer will explain the procedure for going into the water and then we have prayer before going into the water.
Mothers and volunteers assist the ladies and girls with their needs. The Deacons assist the boys and men with their needs.
After coming out of the water, the candidates go into their respective dressing rooms to prepare for morning service. The candidates all go into service at the same time and the Deacons prepare a seat for them to sit together on a front row
during service.
The Lord's Supper is offered on the 1st Sunday of each month. The Mother Board and Missionary Board prepare the table in observance of this ministry.
